Carol Wise
Administrator
During her more than thirty years in education, Mrs. Wise’s passion for literacy and instructional leadership has led to numerous experiences serving the educational community.
Carol taught first grade for 13 years at GSLS before becoming the Administrator in 2006. She received her MS in Education and Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Dominican University in San Rafael. She finished the Educational Therapy Program at UC Berkeley Extension.
Carol feels that working with the staff and families to build bridges for maximized student learning is the most rewarding part of her job. Her favorite part of the day however, is greeting students and parents as they arrive to school.
As a native Californian, and from a family of educators, Carol learned at an early age the value of education and life-long learning. Carol lives in Novato with her husband Tom they have five adult children. On the weekends Carol and Tom can be found at local college sporting events, concerts, movies and plays, as well as reading and drinking coffee at their favorite local bookstores. She enjoys spending her free time with family and friends, walking, traveling and reading to her granddaughter.
